Gorilla Mill Announces Product Lines to be Featured at EASTEC And Building Expansion

March 27, 2017

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WAUKESHA, Wis. (March 23, 2017) – Gorilla Mill announces the three product lines they will be featuring at EASTEC’s manufacturing exposition on May 16-18, 2017 and the building expansion of Gorilla Mill’s current facility to be completed mid-May of 2017. The new portion of the facility will be used for further manufacturing purposes on current tools and the three product lines showcased at EASTEC’s event including the Gorilla Mill Baboon, Gorilla Mill Phenom and Gorilla Mill Sasquatch.

Gorilla Mill continues to see an increase in demand for tools, which led to the expansion of Gorilla Mill’s facility. “This expansion will allow us to not just produce more Gorillas, but our quality and R&D departments will have state of the art space and equipment to continue to stomp the snot out of our competition. We have definitely expanded for the future, but this will also make us more nimble and able to react even quicker than we presently are.  Not to mention that a few of the guys on the floor thought it would be cool to have a whiffle ball stadium,” said Kevin Cranker, President of Gorilla Mill.

This growing popularity also earned Gorilla Mill a booth at EASTEC’s manufacturing exhibition where guests will be invited to speak with Gorilla Mill’s professional staff and see the Gorilla Mill products in person.

Gorilla Mill Products

Gorilla Mill Baboon:
The 7-flute Gorilla Mill Baboon is made versatile through geometric enhancements, thus allowing for difficult-to-machine materials including: Inconel, Waspaloy, Hastelloy, Rene, Stellite, 17-4 SS, 15-5 SS, 13-8 SS , Inconels and Titanium. A variable helix/index design differentiates the Gorilla Mill Baboon from other flutes, making it the ideal choice for trocoidal, dynamic and constant engagement type milling.

Gorilla Mill Phenom:
Based off the original 5-flute Gorilla Mill, the Gorilla Mill Phenom is built tough for high temperature alloys. Its GMS2 Nano-Composite Coating and geometric enhancements allow for work on difficult-to-machine materials including: Inconel, Waspaloy, Hastelloy, Rene, Stellite, 17-4 SS, 15-5 SS, 13-8 SS, Titanium. This tool flat out opened up a #10 can of whoop-ass at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Center in Sheffield England during the Boeing Industrial Challenge II.

Gorilla Mill Sasquatch:
The “Chuck Norris” of end mills, the Gorilla Mill Sasquatch is recommended for the toughest machining applications in all materials based on its extremely high removal rates and superior finish. It is produced with the highest traverse rupture strength (TRS) Nano-grain carbide substrate available and should be run at specific parameters for best results.
